Console Gaming VS. Computer Gaming!! On On-Going Debate!!
#51
Even buying new I generally buy it as individual components rather than as a whole PC, but I probably will end up just getting a new one either way, as every time I try and upgrade bits and pieces it always ends up as a new machine anyway. The new graphics card isn't compatible with the old motherboard, then the new motherboard won't work with the old processor and hard drives, and the chunky components need a larger case...
Playing:
PC: Shadow of War
PS4: Uncharted 3 | Monster Hunter World | Game of Thrones
Switch: Breath of the Wild | Dragon Quest Builders | Mario + Rabbids
XB1: ReCore | Sea of Thieves | Rise of the Tomb Raider

Just get a full (server) sized beast from Lian-Li and you'll never have to worry about getting a new case. Wink

Its amazing nowadays whats available for the money, pc's prices have really diminished noticeably in the past 4 years, buying a really good system now is much more feasible...

Not if you insist on getting a laptop, and I refuse to play games on anything other than my couch, so a laptop that could run all the games I want at the setting I wanted ended up being just shy of $4,000 and 15lbs.

The good part is that I ordered it through work (and actually do use it for work), so my company paid for everything but the upgrade to 8GB RAM. Playing Source games at 320fps is totally worth it, though :rox:

This Asus laptop i linked in a thread recently is a little less than 1k. Its a i7, real powerful and can play any game. I may have to get a laptop to be able to be on the internet at work since someone introduced a worm by dling something and now they are watching what people are doing online...
